Mushroom Philly Cheesesteak Pita

Looking for a quick & tasty Meatless Monday option that will feel like a cheat day? We love meaty mushrooms and melty cheese in this vegetarian take on the cheesesteak!


2 tbsp olive oil

16oz of mushrooms of your choice (we like shiitake, or thinly sliced portobello)

2 bell peppers, thinly sliced

4 slices of provolone cheese (or cheese of your choice)

4 pack of Angel Bakeries Pita

Start by sautéing your sliced bell peppers in 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat until they become soft, about 5-10 minutes. Add in your mushrooms and drizzle in the additional tablespoon of olive oil. Mix around for another 5 minutes.

Pack your pita with the mushroom pepper medley and slide in a slice of cheese - broil for a few minutes until melty. Enjoy!
